About

Not just lace. Our lace.

TAMÀR began with a search that kept coming up empty.

I wanted an abaya that felt considered — the drape right, the lace not an afterthought, a colour that wasn't just black or beige. Something I could wear to a dinner, to work, to nothing in particular, and still feel like myself in. I couldn't find it. So I made it.

The craft

Every TAMÀR piece begins with fabric. We work in nidha — a fine, fluid crepe that falls without clinging — and finish it with lace chosen one trim at a time. The floral appliqué on Rosaline Blush is placed by hand. The polka dot on Luna is matched across the scarf so nothing sits crooked.

Our pieces are cut and sewn to order by artisans in the UAE, in small numbers. Not because scarcity sells, but because this is how the work gets done properly. A piece takes as long as it takes.

Made for you, measured for you

Most of what we make can be sewn to your own measurements — your height, your sleeve, your preferred length. Modest dressing shouldn't mean settling for a silhouette that was never cut for your body.

If you're unsure where to start, write to us. We'll walk you through it.

The women who wear it

What surprised me most wasn't the orders. It was the messages — from everywhere. Women sending photos in our pieces at weddings, at work, on ordinary Tuesdays. A brand became a room full of people who understood the same thing: that covering and looking beautiful were never opposites.

That's who TAMÀR is for. Modest, but chic. Always both.
